Dr. Charansing N. Kayte has been serving as the Head of the Department and Assistant Professor in the Digital and Cyber Forensic Science Department at the Government Institute of Forensic Science, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, under the Higher and Technical Education Department of the Government of Maharashtra since 2014. He successfully completed his Ph.D. specializing in 'Speech Recognition Systems' a total of 14 years of rich teaching experience. His technical expertise spans across Digital and Cyber Forensics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain Technology, and Signal Processing. An active researcher, Dr. Kayte has published 70 research papers in reputable, high-impact journals and has two registered patents to his credit. Furthermore, as a recognized research guide, he has successfully guided four scholars to the completion of their Ph.D. degrees. He has also contributed significantly to academia by delivering over 150 expert lectures at various conferences, seminars, and workshops, and by serving as a 'College Coordinator' and 'Chairman of Paper Setting' for multiple B.Sc. and M.Sc. courses at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Dr. BAMU).
In addition to his institutional responsibilities, Dr. Kayte holds several prestigious statutory and advisory positions across various universities. He serves as an active statutory Member of the ADHOC Board (Forensic Science) as well as a BoS Member (Forensic Science) at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Extending his academic governance across states and institutions, he serves as a Subject Expert on the Board of Studies (BoS) for B.Sc. Digital and Cyber Forensic Science at G.T.N. Arts College (Autonomous), Dindigul, Tamil Nadu for the Academic Year 2025–2026, and as a BoS Member for B.Sc. Forensic Science Programs at the School of Sciences, G.H. Raisoni Skill Tech University, Pune. He is also an active member of the Program Advisory Committee (PAC) for the Cyber Investigation Curriculum Panel at the School of Computer Science, Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU), Nashik.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Dr. Kayte serves as a vital resource person for law enforcement agencies and police administration. He has investigated more than 279 complex cases involving data recovery, banking fraud, and CCTV analysis for the Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar Range Police. Additionally, in collaboration with the QuickHeal Foundation, he has spearheaded a comprehensive cyber awareness campaign, successfully educating over five lakh students across the Marathwada region on the essentials of cyber security
